Nasogastric Intubation
Participants will learn indications and contraindications, insertion techniques, proper placement confirmation, potential complications, and nursing care for patients undergoing nasogastric intubation through interactive demonstrations, hands-on practice sessions, and case discussions.
Urinary catheterisation
Participants will delve into urinary catheterization essentials, including anatomy review and pre-procedure preparation. A focused demonstration will elucidate catheter insertion techniques, emphasizing sterile procedures and patient care. Hands-on practice under expert guidance will consolidate skills.
Injection techniques
Delve into injection techniques, covering essential topics such as needle selection, site preparation, and injection administration. Practical demonstrations will illustrate proper injection procedures, emphasizing safety and patient comfort. Hands-on practice sessions will provide participants with the opportunity to refine their skills under expert guidance.
Fundamentals of ECG
This workshop offers an overview of electrocardiography (ECG) basics, covering electrode placement, waveform interpretation, and common ECG findings. Practical demonstrations will illustrate ECG machine operation and troubleshooting. Participants will engage in hands-on practice sessions to reinforce skills.
OSCE Guidance Workshop
The OSCE Workshop will provide an overview of the OSCE format, training in patient interaction, clinical examination skills, scenario-based practice, effective time management.
Cranial Nerve Examination
Introduction to cranial nerves; examination techniques for each nerve, recognizing normal and abnormal findings, clinical significance of various cranial nerve disorders, hands-on practice with patient simulations, a Q&A session and discussion of case studies.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
The ACLS workshop covers the recognition and management of cardiac arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. It includes airway management, CPR, defibrillation, medication protocols, and hands-on skills stations, ending with a scenario-based evaluation.
Pediatric Basic Life Support
The Pediatric BLS Workshop covers essential topics including the basics of pediatric life support, effective CPR techniques, airway management, using AEDs on children, recognizing and responding to emergencies, hands-on practice sessions.
Auscultation Workshop
The Lung and Heart Auscultation Workshop covers anatomy and physiology, auscultation techniques, identification of normal and abnormal sounds, common respiratory and cardiac conditions, hands-on practice sessions with stethoscopes, case studies, and concludes with a Q&A and discussion.
Microbiology Workshop
The Microbiology workshop focuses on bacterial staining techniques and microscopic identification. Participants will learn key methods like Gram staining and acid-fast staining, and practice identifying bacteria under the microscope. The workshop includes hands-on lab work
Clinical Case Mastery
Interactive workshop featuring case presentations, hands-on activities, and virtual patient simulations.GIMSOC Alumni team will present real-life scenarios in internal medicine. Participants will engage in discussions, decision-making exercises, and guided interactions using platforms like Body Interact and HumanDx.
